The Liberatus Kodi addon is the most popular media player for the Kodi application, and it is easy to use. But to get the best out of it, you need to take a little time to learn the basics. This guide shows you how to quickly install and use Liberatus, whether you want to use it for streaming your favorite movies, TV shows, or live sports, or you just want to have your favorite music on demand, or you want to use it to watch your favorite shows on demand.

In this guide, I will give you detailed instructions on how to install the Liberatus addon on Kodi. The guide works on Amazon FireStick, Android TV Box, mobile phones, Nvidia Shield, computers and all other hardware and software platforms that support Kodi.

You may have noticed that high-level addons like Neptune Rising and Placenta aren’t as good as they used to be after Blamo Repo closed. These addons are available in alternative repositories, not Blamo. I’m always looking for new add-ons for movies and TV shows. I’m glad I discovered some really cool options like the Kodi Liberatus addon.

Liberatus is a fast Kodi addon with a huge catalog of movies and series. The material library is also updated regularly. With this Kodi extension you can watch your favorite content for hours. This allows you to get good quality streams that you can use quickly. The addon also supports Real Debrid, which gives you access to even better quality links, many of which can stream full HD video. Let’s see how to install the Liberatus addon on Kodi. Here’s how:

To install the Liberatus Kodi addon

UPDATE : THE REPOSITORY OF THIS ADDON NO LONGER WORKS. Check out our list of the best working Kodi addons.

You will now learn how to download and install the Liberatus addon on Kodi. To simplify the method, I have divided the process into three parts as follows:

  • Part 1: Include unknown sources
  • Part 2: Add a BCRepo source
  • Part three: Install the Kodi Liberatus addon from the Bandicoot Builds repository.

We will now go through each section in the same order as above.

Part 1: Include unknown sources

Kodi will not allow you to download third party addons like Liberatus unless the Unknown Sources option is enabled. This option is disabled by default to prevent the installation of malicious and dangerous add-ons in Kodi. But you can turn it on for the Kodi Liberatus addon. Perform the following steps:

#1 : Start the Kodi application on your device

#2 : Go to the top left corner and open Settings

#3 : Select and open the system settings

#4 : Click on the Extras button on the left.

#5 : Select Unknown Sources on the right side of the same screen and enable it if it is disabled.

#6 : Tap Yes to keep it enabled when the next prompt appears. The Kodi Liberatus addon is safe.

Let’s start with the installation process.

Part 2: Add Source to Kodi

Kodi needs to know where to load something from. And for that you need to specify the source (the server) you want to download from. To install the Liberatus addon on Kodi, add the source here :

#1 : Open the Kodi settings again from the home screen.

#2 : Now open the file manager option when the following window appears

#3 : Then click Add a source

#4 : Click <No> in the next window.

#5 : In the next window, enter the following source URL: http://coots.co/_bcrepo/.

This is the source where we get the Kodi Liberatus addon from. Make sure you enter the URL correctly.

Press OK.

#6 : The name of the source must now be entered in the appropriate field. The source name need not be a specific name. You can enter anything you want.

I will make it relevant and identifiable by specifying bcrepo as the source name.

Press OK again.

This added the source. Let’s get to the last part.

Attention KODI users: please read before continuing

Kodi addons / modules offer unlimited streaming content, but can also get you in legal trouble if you get caught watching movies / TV shows / sports for free. Kodi users are strongly advised to always connect a VPN when streaming online. A good Kodi VPN can hide your identity, bypass government surveillance, block content, and ISP throttling (which also contributes to buffer-free streaming).

I use ExpressVPN, which is the fastest and most secure VPN. It is very easy to install on any device, including the Amazon FireStick. Get 3 months free and save 49% on annual plans. There is also a 30 day money back guarantee. If you are not satisfied, you can always ask for a refund.

Part 3: Install the Liberatus Kodi addon

You will see that this section is still divided into two parts. First we will install the Bandicoot Builds repository from the source code we added above. From this repository, we will install the Liberatus addon on Kodi. Here’s how:

#1 : Open the add-ons on the Kodi home screen.

#2 : Open the package installer icon in the top left corner of the next screen (it’s an icon that looks like an open box).

#3 : Now click on the option Install from zip file

#4 : Then click on bcrepo or the name you added when you added the source.

#5 : On this page you will see several files. Find and open the file repository.bandicootbuilds

#6 : You should now see a zip file repository.bandicootsbuilds-1.8.2.zip. Open this file.

Message: You may see a different version number than 1.8.2. You don’t have to worry.  Just open the file, regardless of the version number.

#7 : After about a minute, a confirmation of the Bandicoots Builds Repository installation will appear in the top right corner of the Kodi screen.

How to install the Bandicoot repository. Now let’s install the Kodi Liberatus addon.

#8 : Stay in the same window where the above message appeared and click Install from repository.

#9 : Open Bandicoot Construction Depot

#10 : Additions to the video

#11 : Step forward and press Liberatus

#12 : Click Install to start the installation of the Liberatus addon on Kodi.

#13 : Wait until the confirmation of the installation of the Liberatus extension appears in the top right corner of the window. This is how you know the addon is permanently installed.

These are the steps to follow to install the Liberatus add-on. Enjoy it.

Introduction to the Liberatus Kodi Addon

Now that you have the addon installed, let’s explore it a bit together. Although you can learn most things yourself, I will cover the basics.

To open Liberatus, do the following:

  • Go to the Kodi home screen
  • Open add-ons
  • Additions to the video
  • This is the Liberatus symbol. Click on it and open it.

Liberatus is an essential addon for Kodi on demand. If you’ve used similar addons before (i.e. Neptune Rising, Placenta, etc.), you’ll find many similarities between them.

Here is the startup screen for the Kodi Liberatus addon:

As you can see, there is a section for movies and TV shows. That’s the least you can expect from an on-demand addon.

Liberatus also offers you the possibility to authorize Real Debrid directly from the home screen. You don’t have to go into the addon’s settings.

Open one of the options. I choose films for your entertainment (Films section). It is therefore divided into subcategories:

The addon has put the TMDB lists on top. This allows you to instantly select the most popular and highest rated movies.

If you’re a fan of the DC and Marvel comic book universes, Liberatus has separate categories for you. So it’s easy to stream these movies. No need to look in other categories and genres.

The Kodi Liberatus addon also has a category where you can select movies by genre. But it also offers the most popular genres right on the main screen, including action, adventure, animation, comedy, crime, and more.

Open the TV Shows category on the main screen and you will see that the shows are divided into different regular categories such as Action, Adventure, Animation, Comedy, Crime, Documentary, etc.

That’s pretty much it with the Kodi Liberatus addon. This addon is pretty simple. You should have no trouble finding and navigating it.

Reduction

The famous Blamo repo that hosted the most popular and used addons like Placenta, Neptune Rising and Uranus has been closed. These addons are now available from other sources, but they are not as good as before. Fortunately, there are many new addons, and some of them are very good. Liberatus seems to be a simple addon, but is probably just as good as those popular addons in their heyday. The Kodi Liberatus addon is fast, has a huge collection and reliably brings in streams from the web.
