Admits to at Least One Arson
A 22-YEAR-OLD VOLUNTEER MEMBER of a Westchester County, New York, fire company was arraigned Wednesday, accused of setting two house fires. Fox News is reporting:
Trent Bronner, 22, of Sleepy Hollow was arraigned Wednesday on a seven count indictment. He faces felony arson and criminal mischief charges. In convicted, he could face 25 years in prison.
Prosecutors claim one of the fires was on March 20th, 2011. At about 5:10 a.m., a Cedar St. resident woke up when her dog started barking. She looked out to see a fire on the porch of a neighbor's house. The flames spread to another house before firefighters could put it out. 19 people were left homeless.
During the course of the investigation, police say Bronner admitted to starting another fire in the Village on July 19th, 2010 on Cortlandt Street.
He has been held in county jail since his arrest on April 27 in lieu of a $150,000 bond.
