THIS PHOTO THAT CAME IN from Getty caught my eye, even though I think I know what they're trying to do.  Or do I?  This shot arrived without the correct caption, leaving it up to us to figure out what all is going on here.  There's no doubt that they're firefighters, but what is this new method?  And what are they standing in?

THIS WEEK'S LONELY PHOTO that arrived without a caption came to us from the Associated Press.  I'm sure somebody up there in New York knows what's going on here, but I sure don't.

The first thing that came to mind was that old joke, "How many firefighters does it take to pull a hose line?"

ANOTHER WEEK, ANOTHER MISSING CAPTION. This one slipped through from Reuters and I'm sure sorry that they lost the caption. It appears to have been taken at station 61, someplace, but I don't know where.

I HAVE TO ADMIT THAT I DON’T keep up with the advances in emergency medical equipment as well as I could.  So I don’t really know the story behind this unsual piece of equipment.  Is is a mass casualty AED?  Or what?   Help me out here and tell me what this is.  Post your answer in the Comments so that everybody can learn along with me.

WE’RE AT A LOSS TO EXPLAIN THIS ONE.  At first I thought it was a new, smooth bore nozzle, but it might not be.  In fact, I can’t be sure if it’s a training session or a fire attack of some kind with a piece of equipment I am unfamiliar with.
