Large Industrial Building
A 4-ALARM FIRE THAT BROKE OUT just after midnight Thursday has destroyed a block-long industrial building in Coal City, Illinois, just outside of Joliet.
The complex housed at least two businesses, one of them a drainage tile manufacturer. Firefighting efforts were hampered by a poor water supply and lack of hydrants. A tanker shuttle from the nearby Kankakee River was set up to supply the master streams that were used to contain the fire as it was allowed to burn itself out.
WMAQ-TV provided some early aerial footage of the fire:

No injuries have been reported and there is no early indication of what or where the fire started. Most of the units are still on the scene at the time of this posting while numerous small fires remain to be extinguished. No investigation has really gotten underway yet.
