Filed Divorce Suit Last Year
REBECCA "BECKY" BRYAN, 52, WIFE OF SLAIN FIRE CHIEF Keith Bryan was arrested and charged with 1st-degree murder in the death of her husband.
Mrs. Bryan was staying at a nearby hotel where Mustang Police officers arrested her shortly after noon Central today (Friday). The Oklahoman is reporting:
In a news conference Friday afternoon, Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Jessica Brown said police found a Luger handgun matching the murder weapon in a clothes dryer at the home, and a box for the gun was found between the mattress and box spring of the bed in the master bedroom. Ammunition for the gun also was found nearby.
The clothes dryer was not in the path Rebecca Bryan described as the way the supposed gunman took in leaving after the shooting.
Brown said there is no indication anybody else was involved in the slaying.

It was also disclosed that Mrs. Bryan had filed a suit for divorce in January 2010 and that suit was still open.

Deputies say Rebecca Bryan, Chief Keith Bryan's wife, has been taken to the Canadian County Jail for booking.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and Mustang Police Department held a joint press conference and revealed new information in this case.
During the conference, Mustang police confirmed that Rebecca Bryan was arrested at 12:20 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn on a complaint of First-Degree murder. According to the spokesperson for OSBI, during their search at Bryan's home, they discovered a Ruger LCP.380 Auto handgun, shell casing, a throw blanket and gloves inside the clothes dryer.
OSBI says they also discovered a projectile in the couch cushion where Chief Bryan was sitting when he was shot. They determined the shell casing found in the dryer match the projectile they found in the cushion.
