AN ACADIAN AMBULANCE TRANSPORTING A PATIENT near Baton Rouge, Louisiana, rear-ended a sugar cane truck this morning (Monday) causing substantial damage to the ambulance.

The patient struck her head in the collision, but it is not believed to be serious. The State Police have not yet said if the ambulance had its lights and siren on.
