IN ZAGREB, CROATIA, A FIRE ENGINE WAS RESPONDING Saturday afternoon on an emergency call at 1 pm, when it sailed through a red light while Tram No. 4 was crossing with the green. The more-substantial streetcar remained on its tracks while the pumper ended up on its side with 500 litres of foam solution dribbling away down the sewer.

There were four firefighters on the engine, but only one was injured, receiving a cut to his head. He was treated on the scene. Two passengers on the tram also received minor injuries while the streetcar itself was crunched on the front-left corner where it met the rear of the firetruck.
