A TRACTOR-TRAILER TRAVELING SOUTH ON I-65 in Kentucky inexplicably drove across the median strip and ran head-on into a church van filled with adults and children. The truck then crashed into a stone barrier and broke into fire. The crash killed the truck driver and at least 10 people in the passenger van, all members of a Mennonite congregation. At least two more people are in critical condition.

The accident occurred shortly before 6 am Friday morning. There were approx. 18 people in the van and coronors from neighboring counties are being called in to assist. The wreck took place in Hart County about 75 miles south of Louisville, near Cave City.
The truck which was carrying automobile wheel casings was completely burned up.

No other information has been released yet. The highway is expected to be shut down for at least 8 hours.
