    Thanks for the memories. When I started working for the Manhasset-Lakeville (NY) Fire District in 1982, they still had a few of these in service, but they were replaced that same year. They were in the proccess of meticulously restoring a 1948 Ward when I left in 1997 (they were keeping it in one their Stations the year I started there, but it was owned by a few of their members who wound up selling it). Shortly after, they finished the restoration and have won several awards at various musters and shows. Triple J, FLTriple J
