LEXINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA, FIREFIGHTERS ARE IN DEFENSIVE MODE this morning as a warehouse fire is keeping the entire fire department busy along with some mutual aid companies.
The multi-tenant warehouse occupies an entire city block and is completely involved in fire. The alarm was raised at 5 am this morning and continues to burn as this report is written. However, the FD was successful in containing the fire to the property and has knocked it down to where only spot fires are remaining.
