Stroud Township Assistant Fire Chief Mike Seip says the fire at Carlton House started around 11:30 Saturday night on the top floor of the 3-story building. First-arriving firefighters had to rescue five people who were trapped in the building. Units are still on the scene, but a State Police Fire Marshal arrived early to begin an investigation. It appears that the building suffered extensive damage.
The only injury that has been reported so far was for a FF with minor smoke inhalation.
