Since this is a Saturday, there isn’t anybody in HQ to start another ball of it rolling downhill. So we can engage in a little bit of frivolity this morning. Most people in the U. S. are familiar with the Hallmark Hall of Fame, a long-running television production that presents occasional dramatic programs that are noted for their quality.
This month they are running a contest in conjunction with their annual Christmas special titled A Dog Named Christmas. Viewers were invited to submit photos of their (cute little) doggies and the public at large can vote for their favorite pooch. The top 25 vote-getters will bring to their family’s possessions a combination of cash and prizes, and one of the leading contenders is a puppy that has been submitted by a firefighter in Massachusetts. Naturally, there is a movement within the fire & rescue community to help push the cuddly puppy up to the top and I chipped in and voted for him this morning.

- In the “search by name” box, enter the dog’s name: Booda and then hit your Enter key.

He seems to be doing pretty well so far, with more than 43,000 votes tallied early this morning. Join in the fun and give Booda a boost.
