A MAN STRANDED AT A RICHMOND, MICHIGAN, HOSPITAL asked several people if they would give him a ride to get his car that was supposedly left in nearby St. Clair. After being rebuffed by everybody he approached, the Detroit man, Michael Belgrave, 31, went out to the emergency room entrance ramp where he found a Richmond Lenox EMS ambulance that had been left idling outside at the loading dock.
He hopped in and started driving off. Police caught up with him shortly after and arrested him without incident. He was charged with “unlawful driving away of a motor vehicle” and held under $1,500 bond. There were no reported damages to the ambulance.
The Port Huron Times Herald has the STORY.
