I was very fortunate to have Hugh Caufield as a teacher at John Jay College when I went for my Masters'. I spent many hours talking to him. What a wealth of information, much of which came from otj experiences. A must read. He also had several good articles in Fire Engineering in the 80's The book is a classic!
