JUST DAYS BEFORE HIS WEDDING, GLOUCESTER, MASSACHUSETTS, resident John Doberman was repairing some fascia boards on his roof when he uncovered a bee’s nest. The startling discovery caused him to lose his balance and he fell ten feet, landing on his knees on the concrete patio below.
Fast-forward to the Beth El Israel Hospital where he just had major surgery to repair his painful breaks, and the question came up, “What about the wedding?”
Unable to walk down the aisle, or in John’s case into the back yard garden where the ceremony was planned, arrangements were made for the bride and groom to ride in an ambulance to the wedding and he’d take his vows on the trusty old Ferno-Washington.
Let’s just let WFXT-TV tell you all about it in this video report:
The Doberman’s are planning to take their honeymoon at the hospital. Another first.
