It’s Show Time

FossilMedic (left), GeezerDotter and Firegeezer
are ready to meet and greet.
Well, we got off to a good start yesterday. Thanks to Mike Legeros for recording the opening day activities and taking the photo above. You can see that we are offering Firegeezer coffee mugs this year and a lot of people are carrying them home already. It got pretty brisk in the afternoon when the classes and lectures finished up and the attendees started pouring into the exhibition hall to see the latest in fire and EMS gadgetry.
So far, our location this year seems to be pretty good. The aisle is much wider where we are and it leaves more room for folks to visit and chat without disrupting the foot traffic. Some folks from the Howard County, Maryland, fire marshal’s office stopped by for a while, and a vanload of FF’s from Fairfax County Co. 22 said hello. We were surprised at the high percentage of visitors from New Jersey for day 1. But it was great seeing everybody and we’re bracing for more and then the big crush on Saturday when the day-trippers arrive.
It was a bit chaotic for us in the morning until we got settled down, so I didn’t get a chance to get online and do any blogging. I’ll try to rectify that today and get off a posting or two from the exhibit hall floor.
Meanwhile, we’d better get this equipment checked out and then we can try out the new coffee mugs with this fresh pot. See you in the show.
