If you want to take a look at iaa website go to www.irelandairambulance.com or .org And read the details there Sadly it has now been proven to me that the Health Department and those acting on its behalf leaked the stories to the B.B.C.

Shows the hypocricry off our health service does it not

Hi (again) – jokes aside, if you look at their web site the pictures at the top show fire fighters from Northern Ireland supporting the charity. As Kevin said the police from both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, rode out in FULL support of the service. Since the early 1900’s this has never happened (face it they were at ‘war’) – why did they do the FIRST ride out together for the IAA if it were a scam (are they stupid?). Could you guys help in a similar way (Ireland is the only European country not to have a HEMS (helicopter emergency medical service)) and it seems they need help, especially given the somewhat ‘political’ onslaught they have endured. Face it the NHS and HSE (Health services (free in the NHS (UK), unlike USA) can’t afford to pay for Air Ambulances as they are short staffed and under budgeted (by the way a land ambulance (without a Doctor/surgeon) costs £440K a year, and air ambulance costs £1.2M a year but deals only with life critical situations (19,000 people have been saved by Air Ambulances in the UK last year (source Air Ambulance Association). Be great if you all could provide support. Thanks for letting me post this, my family live in an area with NO HEMS coverage, unlike the rest of the UK where there are 30ish units in service (all Charity run apart from Scotland where the Government are bright enough to fund the service they get (used to cover NI as well, but don’t now as their funding is just for Scotland). Look, easy to take a pop at people who are trying to get a service that is needed up in the air, but a lot harder to deal with if it is your daughter that could have been saved by a simple service such as an air ambulance. Look, your call how you wish to deal with this, but simply put, I would rather have the coverage without the politicians (I am sure they do not have any impact on the fire service where you are, so fine and dandy) than have those same politicians say no to it because it causes ripples within their parliament.... Anyway, best to you all.

Hi

It's published on their website. But to answer you in full it is:

"Postal Address
Ireland Air Ambulance
Unit 10
Townsend Enterprise Park
Townsend Street
Belfast
BT13 2ES "

It's between the somewhat infamous Falls and Shankhill Roads in Belfast. Not City Airport which I think has changed hands since 06. (Not reported by BBC).

I did say $200 to $400, so there was room to negotiate, but guess no point paying for good journalism.

All the best to you.

What, me?
Offer somebody $400 to write a story?

That's hilarious!

But perhaps you can help out here, since you've done so much research. Could you please give us the street address where the IAA is now headquartered? Thanks.
