A 5-STORY APARTMENT COMPLEX IN RENTON, WASHINGTON, THAT OCCUPIES NEARLY a full city block burned down Tuesday night in a massive blaze.

The project was about half-completed, but did not have any drywall or interior firestops in place leaving it vulnerable to fast-moving flames. The fire was reported around 8 pm and rapidly grew into four alarms bringing in FD’s from around King County to assist.

The complex, which consisted of two adjoining buildings, has already pre-leased all but two apartment units.
The FD is still on the scene mopping up and investigators will be unable to begin looking for the fire cause until the remaining walls are demolished.
