Morning Lineup – May 25

Comments

This should be a quiet sort of day.  Here in the U. S. it’s the third day of a long holiday weekend commemorating Memorial Day and now everybody’s “inner clock” is going to be confused for the rest of the week.  Tuesday will be “Monday,” etc.

I’m confused already.  We’ve got a house guest yesterday and today, so I’m having to find out what’s been going on while I’ve been playing perfect host.  So let me get things sorted out while you get the equipment checked out.  Holiday schedule today, so we’ll try and keep it low-key.  But I’ve got enough in the In Box to keep the web pages going, so keep checking back.  I’ll go start the coffee now and when we meet back in the day room we’ll discuss the viability and acceptability of this unique smoke heat/fire detector.  Would you write a Notice of Violation on it?

It's just a rate of rise detector. When the detector reaches a temperature of 450 F the device will activate. Remember don't eat the popcorn...exit the building.

Note: Please remember to replace these HADs often. It has been found that in older models the contents may cake and fail to distribute in a satisfactory manner.

In ancient China, strings of firecrackers were hung from the ceilings as a crude, but now doubt effective, fire detection system.

Silly me. You're right, of course. Correction made.

Smoke detector? Don't be ridiculous that's obviously some sort of Heat Activated Device.
