The 'C' in the DCFD CSU stands for COMMUNITY, not Customer. Community Service Unit.

The primary responsibility of the CSUs are the twice yearly inspection of fire hydrants, as well as responding with the water supply engine companies to second alarm and greater fires, or as requested by the IC. Additionally, they will canvas a neighborhood after a fire and offer smoke detector inspections and installations.
