The $4.5 million loss was a 3-story, 38-unit condominium complex that was still under construction. The alarm was received shortly after 10 pm Tuesday night and quickly escalated to three alarms involving seven other FD’s assisting Alhambra with 13 engines and 4 trucks.
The heat was so intense that it triggered sprinkler heads in a nearby apartment building.
