FIRE CHIEF MAGAZINE ANNOUNCED THE WINNERS of their 2008 Station Style Design Awards program, which recognizes outstanding architecture and design from fire departments nationwide. Gold, silver, and bronze awards were announced in five categories: volunteer departments, career departments, satellite stations, shared-facilities, and renovated fire stations.

While they’ve announced the winners in a press release today, they have not yet posted any photos of the entrants online.  But for your information here are the winning stations:

VOLUNTEER FIRE STATION DESIGN WINNERS:

Gold Place — DeWitt Fire District Fire Station Replacement, DeWitt, New York

Silver Place — Jericho Fire District Headquarters, Jericho, New York

Bronze Place — North 40 Fire Station, Aspen, Colorado

CAREER FIRE STATION DESIGN WINNERS:

Gold Place — Bentonville Fire Station No. 1, Bentonville, Arkansas

Silver Place — Tucson Fire Department Fire Station #22, Tucson, Arizona

Bronze Place — Oceanside Fire Station 7, Oceanside, California

SATELLITE STATION DESIGN WINNERS:

Gold Place — College Station Fire Station No. 3, College Station, Texas

Silver Place — Isle of Palms Fire Station No. 2, Isle of Palms, South Carolina

Bronze Place — Goodyear Fire Station No. 185, Goodyear, Arizona

RENOVATED FIRE STATION DESIGN WINNERS:

Gold Place — Warrenton Fire Renovation, Warrenton, Virginia

Silver Place — Raytown Fire Protection District Station 1, Raytown, Missouri

Bronze Place — Pine Hill Fire Department, Pine Hill, New Jersey

SHARED FACILITIES DESIGN WINNERS:

Gold Place — Aurora Fire Station 8 & Customer Service Call Center, Aurora, Illinois
