THE CHARLOTTE (North Carolina) FIRE DEPARTMENT HAS A NEW firehouse that no doubt is in high demand for transfer requests from the FF’s. Recently completed, the super-sized station has all the latest amenities and comforts.

But some of the citizens are a little curious about a few things. It turns out that the station is:
- built outside the city limits
- built on an inlet of an exclusive lake
- has a lovely boathouse, but the FD doesn’t have a boat

One of the local TV stations, WCNC is trying to whip up their viewers during sweeps month by focusing on this nice place to work with a video report:
