Morning Lineup – November 10

Here we are back at the old, familiar keyboard again.  I want to thank FossilMedic for holding over for me this morning while I slept in for a change.  It felt pretty good and I was tired last night.  I think today is going to be one of those pajamas-and-bathrobe-until-lunchtime kind of days.

I’ve got a bit of a backlog on fire and rescue news, too.  So I’ll be working on that for a couple of hours, so check back in a little while and find out what we come up with.  First, though, I have to figure out if the post office is closed today or tomorrow.  Is Veteran’s Day one of those that shifts to a long weekend, or is it celebrated when it’s supposed to be?  Inquiring minds want to know.

So let’s get this equipment checked out while I go start some much-needed coffee.  See you in the day room.

So you really wear PJs? Tell me now, how many fire fighters wear pajamas? It has to be a minuscule percentage.

Can you share with us what print we might find on these night wear gems? You did not wear them at the fire station right? If so can you share the protective clothing protection rating of your jamie’s?
Come to think of it you may be on to something. In fact we should solicit NFPA to develop a standard for FR PJs. We could seek approval for an EMS version, urban search and rescue version, wildland version and finally a structural fire version. The wildland would of course come with Smokey the Bear print, USAR with the leaning tower of Pisa print and so on. Well
