Hot-Air Balloon Adds Hops
WHEN IT COMES TO HOT-AIR BALLOONS, those folks “down under” have no trouble defining their priorities.
The Wednesday morning commuters in Melbourne, Australia, were greeted with flying spectacular when a piloted balloon shaped like a beer glass filled with the barley bree’ came soaring over the city.
The 100-ft.-high balloon owned by the Carlton Brewery was on its maiden voyage, a 90-minute flight ending at Essenden Airport at 8:30 am. The balloon is large enough to hold 9½ million glasses of beer. We’ll just have to take their word for that.
In another month it will begin a grand tour around the country.
