“Machete Lady” Dies In House Fire
A RENTON, WASHINGTON WOMAN WHO HAD BEEN threatening her neighbors with violence was found dead in her home Monday night after a fire swept through the duplex.

Police officials said officers received a call just before 8 p.m. Monday from a woman who said her neighbor was chasing them down the street while swinging a knife and a machete.
The woman said she had just arrived home with her 4-yr.-old child when her neighbor came at her with the weapons. The woman managed to get away and call 911. She was not seriously injured.
When the police responded, they found the house locked and the deranged woman inside who refused to come out. And then the home suddenly erupted in fire throughout, blocking the doors. The police broke some windows to provide an escape for the woman, but she refused to leave.
After the FD responded and put out the fire, they found the woman’s remains inside the home that was completely burned out. Police say that they have responded to that address several time before on similar calls for a woman with a knife.
All indications are that she started the fire deliberately, but investigation is beginning today to determine the cause.
