Arrest Made In Pennsylvania Fatal Arson

EARLY MONDAY MORNING A FIRE GUTTED THE 2ND AND 3RD FLOORS of a Lebanon, Pennsylvania apartment building leaving one dead and four injured, including two firefighters.

Suspicion was raised early when evidence of accelerants was apparent, but the body found has not been identified.  It was determined that the fatality was not the man who was the renter of the unit, so an arrest warrant was issued Tuesday for Nicholas Pappas, 42.  Later in the day, he was located by police in Camden County, New Jersey driving a stolen car which he crashed while trying to get away during the chase.

One occupant of the building was being rescued by a ladder company when she jumped from a window onto the aerial and landed on a firefighter.  She was flown to a burn center in Allentown due to her severe burns.  The firefighter was hospitalized with pelvis and lower back injuries.
