This is virtually unheard of in my area where Fire Districts usually fly under taxpayer's radar. In all seriousness, after this winter's heating bills...I would not be surprised to see zero mill increase budgets being rejected next spring by voters -- the seniors are going to be demanding local tax cuts. People are more concerned about keeping warm then having a heart attack.
