There were Red Flag warnings in effect for Peabody when this fire occured.

I believe there were Red Flag warnings the day when Norwich, CT lost the Peachtree Apartments last month, although they probably expired around nightfall (btw -- the cause was released yesterday...cigarette in pine needles / mulch, fire was driven by the wind up the side of the building and across the attic).

Three years ago only good sprinklers saved us when a cigarette into bark mulch on a 2nd floor porch ignited...on a Red Flag day. On arrival there was wind-driven fire on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th floors and attic on a building very similiar to Peabody's.

I know these are antecedotal. But are we seeing a common thread here?
