On arrival at the single-family dwelling the FD found an attic fire has spread down to the second-floor level and were beginning interior operations.  When the fire conditions began deteriorating very rapidly, they began a rapid retreat.  Just then the roof started collapsing and while they all made it out on their own, six were injured during the bailout with three of them getting seriously burned.

The house is one of the newer ones constructed with the wood chips and glue components that we have been talking about for the past year.  The construction materials have been clarified and are updated in Dave Statter’s report below.

Dave Statter at STATter911 has been working Channel 9′s news desk on this event and has full coverage, including video reports HERE.  Check back to his website today for any updates as they are released.
