MEDTECH AMBULANCE IN PAWTUCKET, RHODE ISLAND, recently got a call from a nursing facility requesting a bariatric truck for a heavy patient.

They were told that the patient weighs 650 lbs. and was having trouble breathing along with abdominal pains. A special crew and unit was rounded up and went to the address. When they got there, they found out that there was no such patient waiting for them.
Medtech turned the prank call over to the police and they tracked the phone records back to a Timothy Goodwin, and employee of Coastline Ambulance in Warwick. Goodwin was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor.
