A BC HYDRO HELICOPTER IN BRITISH COLUMBIA CRASHED Tuesday in the center of Cranbrook, killing the pilot, both passengers and an unlucky pedestrian who just happened to be walking along the point of impact.

The pedestrian was a foreign-exchange college student from Kenya who stood 6’9″ tall. He was seen by witnesses to be wearing earphones and probably did not hear the approaching helicopter.
The hard-landing crash broke up the aircraft and the fuel tank split sending a river of burning fuel along the gutter.

The helicopter was used by BC Hydro to check transmission lines in the remote areas.
