A FIRE THURSDAY MORNING IN A COLLEGE DORMITORY has been determined to be an arson.
The three-story building in Xenia, Ohio, is part of the campus of Central State University. The fire was started around 6 am in a 2nd-floor storage room and spread up into the 3rd floor.

School officials were able to go door-to-door through the building and alert all the students that were there. While the dorm normally houses 180 students, only 40 to 50 were there because exams had just finished and most of the residents had left for home.
The five injuries were for some smoke inhalation and for one student who jumped out of a 3rd-floor window.
Investigators determined the fire was deliberately set after inspecting evidence and interviewing students, said Shane Cartmill, a spokesman for the Division of State Fire Marshal. No other specifics about the fire cause have been released.
