LAST MONTH WE REPORTED (HERE) on the arrest of the Dowagiac, Michigan, Fire and Ambulance Service office manager on embezzlement charges.
The seven felony counts were for fraudulently using the department’s ATM card 59 times.

Firegeezer reader J. F. has sent along the link to yesterday’s Dowagiac Daily News that reports the outcome of the trial. Kathy McFadden, 43, in a plea agreement, pleaded guilty to three of the charges. In exchange for dropping the other two charges she has agreed to provide full restitution for all crimes including those that she was not charged with.
She will be sentenced on May 2 when she will face the possibility of up to 4 years imprisonment.
