THE WAKE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA, EMS Medical Director suspended the EMS chief of a town’s ambulance squad for 30 minutes on Sunday, effectively shutting down the service.
The penalty was initiated from a spot-check at a hospital ER receiving area that found an ambulance from the Rolesville Ambulance service operating without a paramedic on board.
Rolesville has been attempting to keep a second ambulance in service against the wishes of the County EMS Board. It was the second ambulance that was found in disobeyance of the directive.
