A FIRE STARTED AROUND 3:30 AM Pacific time in the hills above Malibu, California again. As predicted, the high winds returned to the area yesterday and in anticipation the fire departments have already bolstered their forces.

Early in the week the state moved in dozens of forestry fire trucks and several air tankers to standby for the expected hazardous conditions.
This fire has raced through 400 acres already and is 0% contained. Early reports show at least 20 homes consumed after more than 100 were evacuated right after the fire began.

Los Angeles County fire Capt. Ed Lazar uses a garden hose while waiting for a truck to refill with water. By midday the Corral fire had destroyed at least 35 structures and led to the evacuation of 10,000 to 14,000 residents.
