Small-town Councilman With Big Head Obstructs Fire Operation

Comments Off

AN ARNOLDSVILLE, GEORGIA, CITY COUNCILMAN faces the possibility of felony charges for obstructing a fire truck during a fire operation.

Specifically, one of the Arnoldsville trucks, a tanker, wanted to re-fill at a hydrant near the feather-brained councilman’s home.  The self-centered cluck took his car and blocked the tanker from connecting to the hydrant.  His reason for doing so?  Because when the FD uses the hydrant he gets muddy water in his house service for several days.

There was no quote from the elected official about what he thinks of the inconvenience being suffered from the poor guy whose house was burning at the time.

Apparently there is an ongoing feud between the city council and the volunteer fire department.  The Athens Banner-Herald has the full STORY.
