Pickup vs. Fire Engine Collision Kills One

Comments Off

LAST EVENING IN SHREVEPORT, LOUISIANA, a pickup truck drove into the side of a fire engine, killing a passenger in the pickup.

The fire engine from Station 2 was responding to a grass fire and witnesses verified that it had the lights and siren activated.  At an intersection the traffic slowed to yield to the engine as it made a left turn and the pickup truck came over the crest of a hill and could not stop in time.

The three FF’s on the engine were ok and the pumper itself only suffered minor damages to a rear quarter-panel and compartment door.

Channel 3 has the story and a VIDEO.
