WHEN VIRGINIA’S 1st CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT Rep. Jo Ann Davis died on Oct. 6, her husband Charles “Chuck” Davis, a retired battalion chief, announced that he would run for the special election to fill out her term (Firegeezer story HERE).
The special district convention was held yesterday and 11 people were running for the nomination. After a marathon 9-hour meeting that went through five ballots, the nomination went to a member of the state House of Delegates, Rob Wittman.
