THIS TIME IT’S IN THE UK.  When former-retained firefighter Berwyn Jones posed for a charity calendar to help a Welsh choir, he didn’t realize that the North Wales Fire and Rescue Services has a “diversity chief” who’s so wrapped up in political correctness that he has lost all of his humanity.

When Mr. Jones, who is no longer associated with the department, approached the station officer with his idea, it was passed along the chain of command for several layers and approved with the proviso that there would be nothing in the picture that would identify which station it was.

Assistant Chief Paul Claydon, his day already ruined, issued a laughable memo condemning the photo session and thus guaranteed that the calendar would get even more publicity.

Members of the 60-strong choir, which has an average age of 66, also stripped off for the cameras to pose naked for the calendar.

Dave Jones, a prison officer who also appears in the calendar, said: “Oh how sad. In every walk of life you must have a sense of humour and that’s all we’re doing here is having a laugh.

“The calendar is very popular – it’s wacky not tacky and sales are going extremely well. We did a concert in Birmingham at the weekend and members of the audience were asking ‘where’s the calendar, have you got any to sell?’
