THE TOWNHOUSE FIRE IN FREDERICK COUNTY, MARYLAND, late Thursday night that left two occupants dead has been ruled an arson by the State Fire Marshall’s office. The Frederick County Sheriff has also opened a homicide investigation in the case.

The woman who was found early yesterday morning in the rubble had been killed prior to the fire and the second body has not yet been identified. She had filed for divorce from her husband on October 3 and his whereabouts is not known.
