Udate: Famed local landmark known as the Malibu Castle has been destroyed by the fire. Built in the late 1970′s, the faux castle-mansion is currently owned by socialite Lilly Lawrence. One report says that she has recently sold the house for about $17 million and was scheduled to have the final walk-through this Wednesday with closing on Friday.
