BALTIMORE MAYOR SHEILA DIXON WILL HOLD a press conference tomorrow to announce the promotion of the city Fire Department’s first female battalion chief.
Actually, Laura Shiloh was promoted last month, but this is a formal press conference to publicize the event. She has been in the department for 20 years and has been advancing through the EMS track. She will oversee the operation of emergency medical services and serve on the accident review board.
