THE SECOND INQUEST INTO THE DEATH of British judge Andrew Chubb was concluded today. This is the story we’ve been following HERE and HERE about Hizzoner being blown up in his garden shed just 90 minutes after he told his wife he was leaving her to go live with his mistress.
The coroner announced today that while it is certain that the judge neither killed himself (as his wife had maintained) nor was mudered (as his mistress claimed), but that the cause of death is “unascertained.”
In overturning the first verdict of accidental death, the coroner stated: “It has not been possible to determine whether [Mr Chubb] was disabled from escaping by the effects of the products of combustion or any other means. Both the means and the cause of his death remain unascertained.”
This concludes the whole sorry case. The widow gets to keep her million Pounds and the mistress gets to sell her story to the tabloids.
BBC News has the story HERE along with a whole stack of related links on the right sidebar.
