COOLER TEMPERATURES AND A SHIFT IN DIRECTION have aided firefighters at the Butler #2 fire in San Bernardino County.  As of last night, the fire was 12% contained and there were still 1,200 residents under mandatory evacuation orders.  However, the fire has started moving in a direction that does not include any occupied areas for at least 10 miles.

Los Angeles Times has some background HERE.

The smaller Angel fire in San Diego County is now 60% contained.  Investigators have already discovered the cause of the fire to be from an illegal campfire.  Some people have been allowed back to their homes, but in other areas some new evacuation orders have been put in place.
