*  Somebody must have locked Dave Statter in the video room at Channel 9 and thrown away the key.  He’s got a page full of them today HERE.

*  FireRescue1 has a story of a legal loophole being closed in California.  It is the only state that doesn’t have a central registry for EMT’s.  Currently, if one gets in trouble or commits a crime, he can go to another jurisdiction and start over.  A bill just passed in the legislature will put all EMT records on a single registry.  Read the STORY.

*  Firefighter Blog is reporting on a 3 million-acre forest fire in Paraguay (I hadn’t heard about it, either. – ed.).  They’ve called in the U.N. and several other countries are assisit.  Read about it HERE.

*  Janet Wilmoth at Fire Chief has a must-read article on FF’s exposure to cyanide poisoning and nobody knows it.  Of course, if you’re wearing your SCBA the hazard is mitigated.  But how many take them off during overhaul?  You’d better read this HERE.

*  FirefighterHourly has been following the situation in Topeka between the FF’s and their no-confidence vote on their chief HERE.
