* FireRescue1 has a story of a legal loophole being closed in California. It is the only state that doesn’t have a central registry for EMT’s. Currently, if one gets in trouble or commits a crime, he can go to another jurisdiction and start over. A bill just passed in the legislature will put all EMT records on a single registry.
