Early reports are sketchy, but it appears that 4 people have been transported to the hospital. They could be workers who were renovating the building. When it blew it rained burning debris onto the I-95 freeway that runs next to the complex.
Update, 3:30 Eastern: The Miami Herald is reporting that four children and two firefighters were injured in the fire. The apartments weren’t vacant, they just appeared to be initially.
The gas company was working in one of the buildings when the explosion occured.
