Canada To Send Help To Greece

FOLLOWING A CALL FOR INTERNATIONAL ASSISTANCE, the Candian government has announced that they will be sending some specialized help to Greece. Still battling scores of fires throughout the country, the Greek government has been asking for neighboring countries to help with the massive firefighting effort.

Canada has identified available resources, including air tankers and water bombers, as well as trained fire crews. The Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre would oversee the effort. They have not yet announced when the aircraft will be sent over.
