apparatus & fire stations firegeezer on 02 Aug 2007 02:45 pm
Greetings From Iraq
FIREGEEZER HAS A LOT OF READERS in the Armed Forces overseas, and we are truly grateful to them all. The other day one group on MP duty just happened by a fire house and thought of us. They said that they wanted Firegeezer and all my friends to see an Iraqi fire station, so they stopped and took this picture for us. It’s interesting that the name of the FD on the top is written in English.
They even got the on-duty shift to pose for us. Like firefighters everywhere, they seem to be a cheerful bunch, even though the steel-toed sandals haven’t been issued yet.

Our Foreign Correspondent and photographer is “Tim” who is currently working in an undisclosed location with the 3rd Infantry Division. He tell us that reading Firegeezer helps him pass the time when he is off work. He enjoys the site and recommends it to all his fellow troops. And Firegeezer certainly thanks him for being there for us.
