Arson-Kidnapping Goes Awry

IN CHESHIRE, CONNECTICUT INTRUDERS BROKE into the home of a prominent doctor, held the family hostage for several hours and then set the house on fire, police and others said. Three people were killed, and the doctor was injured.

A woman was kidnapped and taken to withdraw money from a bank while the hostages were held, police said. Bank employees were suspicious of the transaction and called police, who surrounded the home of Dr. William Petit Jr., a state police spokesman said.

I think William Petit hired those guys to do it. If he didn’t, then why was he in the basement? Heat and smoke rise….

One question – How long did it take the police to get to the house? If the wife tipped off the teller and I’m assuming the teller immediately contacted the police, how is it that the killers got back to the house, strangled the wife and lit the house on fire BEFORE they were arrested?

Somethings not right. Why didn’t the police get there sooner. Why did they kill only the mother not the father. Why set fire and leave the girls alive if they were covering there tracks why would they leave any potential survivers. The house in at least one area was pretty chared and these guys crashed into a cruiser when they took off so it would seem they must have had to have been there for sometime if the mother was strangled and the girls died of smoke inhalation. The father was so severely injured yet managed to escape from the basement and save himself. When exactly did he escape.Where did the police find him. This makes no sence at all and I’m sure they will have to do some serious investigation before we get the real story. These guys were scum any way you slice it but what made them resort to this kind of violence when they had no history involving these types of crimes.

Well I’m glad I’m not the only one seeing the indiscrepencies here. So do the authorities have blinders on. Isn’t this a federal case because of the bankrobbery/kidnapping/murder. I guess they didn’t cross state lines with the hostage or rob the bank directly.Well kudos to the prison system for the excellent job they’ve managed to do in the rehabilitation of these guys. Keep up the good work there. Apparently these guys were so thrilled with prison life they couldn’t wait to get back in and make sure no one ever kicks them to the curb again. Do us a favor, let them stay this time or at least move them to their permanent resting place at the 6 ft under club.
